S : “… men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Acts 15:26)
O: Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men among them to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas — men who have risked their lives for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ.
These were the “Joshuas and Calebs” of that time — gamblers for God, if you will, who were willing to take risks to spread the Gospel and further the Kingdom.
A: Who were some of the chief risk takers in the Bible?
- Moses to Pharaoh
- Esther to the king
- David with Goliath
- Jesus to earth
Anyone taking a risk for the Kingdom never sees it as a risk, but views it instead as mountain-moving faith.
P: I must never let fear of failure prevent me from taking risks for God. Father, please strengthen and equip me today!
